DVD player to my LG tv

So I have it connected with white red audio in to tv and yellow video to tv and .. it works but the picture is fuzzy, poor. DVD player has an s-video port but tv does not - it has a DVI, HDMI2 and a couple other small inputs I don't know about. Also has another set of red, yellow white. I know I won't get (or don't need) HD quality, but I just want a clearer picture - should I try and find a s-video to DVI or HDMI plug? Or what do you suggest? Thank you

If the player has hdmi, go with hdmi
Cables are getting pretty cheap these days, around £5 (less than $8) for a 1 metre basic hdmi, may even be gold plated if you're lucky ^_^
Had this issue when setting up an old dvd player with a brand new sony 3d monolith tv, tv had no scart, dvd player had no hdmi! had to get a scart to hdmi adapter.

Edit: looks like you can get an RCA to HDMI cable, no adapter needed, reviews for this particular one aren't great, shop around.

Buy a modern DVD player, they are not that expensive and guaranteed to give you a better picture.

Trying to mess with your vintage may end up spending same and no guarantee for success.

Thanks for your answers -- after I asked this I still did some research and thought that what I needed might be the Red, Green Blue cables (the DVD does not have HDMI) -- so I found a set of those (of course we have the big box of various cables through the years, lol) - hooked it up, then hooked up the white and red and voila - great picture and sound.
