If your TV has an HDMI input, try using a DVI-HDMI cable. Otherwise, go ahead and use the component cables (YPrPb). If you have further comments or concerns, please detail what you're trying to connect to the TV and what model TV you have.

I have a Toshiba 32C100U1. I am trying to record DVD's with a Toshiba DVD video recorder (DR420KU off the TV which is hooked to cable. I just want to be able to record content at times I cannot watch. I have been recording for years with no problems, but ever since I bought the new HDTV, some channels will not record including the premium channels. The cable company says they do not block recording on any of their channels. I get error messages that say "the program cannot be recorded with +VR mode. The troubleshooting in the manual says to use 'DVD-RW in VR mode. I have tried that with no luck. Appreciate any input you may give. Thank you.
Looking at the back panel of what I believe to be your TV, I don't see a DVI connection port: http/www.youtube.com/watch?v=SF8v8bck-y8 (Kill the volume). If this is your TV, how are you connecting your DVD recorder to it?
