[citation][nom]falchard[/nom]EA has the use, abuse, then drop mentality towards game publishing. They buy up smaller studios who made a good IP, churn out a ton of sequals. Then drop the studio entirely.[/citation]
You forgot one thing:
Then churn out new games using their newly acquired game developer's name all while trashing it and giving us crap that fans of that particular series wouldn't even wipe their own ass with.

Seriously, above all else, EA in my mind takes good titles/franchises and absolutely butchers them AFTER acquisition. EA themselves has what anymore, Madden and Need For Speed? I myself have tried religiously to avoid anything with an EA stamp on it this past decade - I encourage others to do so as well!

[citation][nom]demonhorde665[/nom]well of coruse ... what use could teh developers be they are just poeple, the brand is every thing !!!!! OMG save teh brand ... who cares if a bunch of ahrd workers wil be eating out of trash can;'s now and sellign thier kids to strangers to eat !!! we ahve to save those brands ..... (sarcasm )[/citation]
The people make the brand what it is. Without the talent and a good team, your brand is worth nothing. Best example in my head is RARE - anyone remember them? They had a reputation of a rock-solid company, anything they touched was golden! After several hand-me-overs and many key people leaving, what is the name/company worth now?
