Elitebook 8460p USB3 upgrade

Hi All,
So I have an HP Elitebook 8460p with the 642754-001 motherboard. The AMD chip has packed it in and it occurred to me that if I was going to buy another motherboard would it be an easy swap to install the 670123-001 motherboard instead and get USB3 functionality. Price of the boards seems to be about the same.

Usually laptop motherboards are not interchangeable, not only could the ports and other layout be different but the video chip may not work with the screen properly.
