I was wondering if it was possible to change the UEFI boot animation from Vista style to the Windows 8.1 boot animation? The Elitebook came out in Vista times and I guess that's why it shows the vista UEFI animation.
The HP splash screen/logo you see within the first few seconds of booting is totally independent from the Windows version that's installed and has nothing to do with Microsoft. It's in the BIOS chip on the motherboard. It can be modified but it entails messing with a BIOS update using third-party utilities - - not recommended unless you really know what you're doing.

I didn't mean the splash screen, I meant the UEFI Windows booting screen. Instead of the normal Windows 8 boot animation, it shows the Vista boot animation - http/www.youtube.com/watch?v=B21zA-MdN_I(Not my video). Sorry for any confusion with the splash post logo, I mean't the boot animation.
My bad, not yours mate. I'm not a Windows 8 user so I've no idea what it should look like or whether you can change it.
I wrongly assumed you meant the manufacturer's splash-screen which is entirely independent from the Windows version.
