Encrypting for free

Does anyone know of a freeware app to encrypt a whole directory that has
files in it? I wouldn't mind using the HP Protect Tools that came with my
hx4700 but it won't do just one directory you choose, but instead the whole
My Document directory which I am not interested in securing.

Darin,

Take a look at Resco File Explorer 2003. It allows for you to encrypt files
and directories.

resco will do it but may not be free but it's good with lots of
features. (I did get an official free version)

Zipping can have passwords- there's IAZip- a free one came with my pda-
check there website to see if there's a free one. A web search will
bring up more- wince zip, easy zip ................... try a search and
look for one that suits your needs. But zip passwords aren't the most
secure .... it depends on just what you want
Pocket RAR can also password protect compressed data.

See that's my problem. I'm using Winrar currently, and it creates temp
directories which include things you had password protected. How did you
get Resco for free?!

I see from another post you have a solution. Resco was free on a
magazine cover disk many months ago.
