Error Message: Reboot and Select Proper Boot Device

Laptop Model:
- Toshiba Satellite C55D-B5310

Operating System
- Windows 8.1

When i am trying to turn on my laptop it show the error message "Reboot and Select Proper Boot Device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot Device and press a key" . The BIOS was set to UEFI Boot and i had changed it and again i restarted it again its showing the same message i called to customer care they said that the hard disk is corrupted plz help me

Yep. Sounds exactly like a bad hard drive. Did you purchase this laptop less than a year ago? If so this would be covered under its hardware warranty.

yeah i purchased the laptop in last month

Make a warranty claim on it. Hell if you purchased it less than 30 days ago you could probably do an RMA through who you bought the laptop from. You may have lost whatever data you had on the laptop though.
