Ethernet Controller Yellow Exclamation Problem

I have finish my first PC build and everything went well with one exception. In Device Manager -> Other Device -> Ethernet Controller, I have a yellow exclamation point. When I right click on it and choose update driver, I get a message "could not find driver software."

I am guessing that my GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD5H LGA 1155 Intel Z77 Intel Motherboard manages the Ethernet Controller. I have downloaded and installed the chipset and LAN drivers which didn't resolve the problem.

I am not sure what to do next. Any help would be appreciated.

Right click on the device in Device Manager. Click on "Properties" and report what it says under "Device Status". It should give you an error code or some other information.

I ended up using the Intel Driver Update Utility which solved the problem.

Go to http/www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect/?wapkw=%28scan%29 and click the button that says, "Check your system for the latest updates."
