External cpu or gpu

I saw that there was a such thing as external cpu and gpu and because my laptop is not upgradablet internally I was wondering if something like this could help boost my performance in games. Anyone have advice?

There is no such thing as an external cpu. Open the bottom access panel and see if there is a m.2 slot there. I just want to make sure this pic I'm looking at is right. If so then you can try an egpu. Your i5 6200u should be decent enough for at least a 1050 which is a good step up from the 940mx.
