I got a Seagate USB 2.0 external HDD connected to my Vizio TV via USB. The HDD is powered by its own cord.
At first I could get a movie to play back fine, but lately the drive will make a clicking sound & then the video will freeze & either eventually start playing or I'll have to pause the video, give it a few minutes & then it will play fine. But, it will do it again over the course of the movie multiple times.
I know that playing a movie via a flash drive in the TV, it works fine. Even though the Vizio manual says you can't.
I plugged the HDD into my Raspberry Pi & streamed through Jodi & it seemed to have the same issue, just not as frequent.
Any suggestions as to what the issue may be or how to fix it?
