External speakers issue with Samsung smart TV.

I have a Samsung 6400 smart TV, Cisco PVR/cable box and Harman Kardon sound bar. Sound works fine on the sound bar when watching TV or shows recorded on the PVR. However no sound from the sound bar when watching something on Netflix; also no sound from sound bar when watching a movie file saved onto a USB memory stick, plugged into the back of the TV. I need to switch to TV speakers to watch shows from these sources. TV is connected to the sound bar via digital optical cable. Can anyone help? I tried Samsung support - no help there.

Hi, to whom it may concern. There is something wrong with my samsung phone i can not hear it when it rings or my loud speaker when i turn it on.Im sorry im using my phone cause im n a wheelchair
