I have an asus x501. I opened it up to replace the RAM. While doing so, I might have made some mistakes. 1-One black wire from the connector on the bottom right got snapped (which I tried to put back in place).2- Also, I damaged the aluminium tape that is holding the motherboard.
After having put the laptop back together, the fan makes a crazy loud noise! This hold true even if I just have a browser open. This is unlike before, where I would have many programs open and the fan was quiet. Constructive responses much appreciated.
