Fan Problems - No BIOS options

Hi,
I'm looking to up my fan rate a bit for my laptop as its pumping out a measly volume of gas per minute. I have got no options in the BIOS or in any software (speedfan etc.). I am really stuck on what to do. Any help? I emailed Samsung and they said if there is no BIOS update to up the fan speed then take it into their techys. What are your opinions. Would like to know as this overheating problem is becoming annoying; here are the specs and temps.

intel i5 2410M @ 2.3GHz
Intel HD Graphics
6GB RAM
Windows 8
Samsung NP3530EC - A0LDX

Cold Turn on temp - 60C
Minor Stress (ie, control panel etc.) - 65C
Harsh Stress (Low Quality Graphic Games (Minecraft etc.)) - 75C
Torture Test - 90C

The fan seems to be spinning slowly and not pumping much air out. What shall i do? Thanks,

Most likely the chassis is full of dust and debris. That would cause low air flow. You need to first clean out the laptop vents and chassis.

I got the laptop under a month ago and its sat on my desk since. Any more suggestions (an external fan controller for laptops, etc.). Thanks again

Fan profiles for laptops are part of the firmware, so software such as SpeedFan never work on them. Your system doesn't have hotkeys or a proprietary software from Samsung for adjusting fan RPM? Is your laptop actually overheating?

Oh, and laptop fans don't pump gas.

I'm not sure about the hotkeys. I will try a few things I found after doing extensive research. Where would I find the hotkeys if they were available? And the MAX temp for my CPU is 95C so it kinda is yeah. My friend has a pc with exactly the same specs apart from its desktop and his is 50C when gaming and 65C when doing the torture test. Haha I know they don't pump gas, I meant gas as in air because obviously its a gas Thanks,

Hotkeys are generally assiged to the F'x' keys at the top (Fn key + F3, for example). That laptop may or may not have anything to control fan speed though; take a look at the icons on the keyboard and see if anything hints at the fans.

Ok, I found a fan key but with no + or - next to it. Just one fn key. And when I use it it just turns my screen dimmer or brighter. If you find out how to work this for me you will get best answer.

What makes you think that is the fan control toggle, then? From what I can see, it should be the FN + F11 key.

Go to the picture with the bird's eye view and zoom in on the keyboard.

The FN + F11 key is the Silent Mode, reduces the Fan noise so that users can use the computer without hearing noise.
For reference go to page 43 in the User Guide.

Ok, I guess this is a dead end. I spoke to samsung and they said if its still under warranty they could see if the fan is faulty. Could I ask them to replace it with a bigger, meaner and more powerful one. Aswell as applying AS5? Would they do that if I payed for all the parts?

Fans are proprietary in form factor so they will not be able to source a different/bigger fan for you, but you can inquire about different thermal paste. AS5 is good, and a lot of power users/gamers like ICD7.

Ok. I will contact Samsung now. If I receive no better answer after three days from this time, prostar will get the best answer and the case will be solved.
