fast boot missing in my toshiba satelite

in my toshiba laptop fast boot mode is missing. in my laptop windows 7 installed right now. i want to install kali linux on my laptop but it is not detecting usb its directly starting windows 7 pls guys help me

What model of toshiba laptop do you have? It sounds like you are trying to install linux via booting from an install dvd, in which case you may have to change the boot sequence in the BIOS. What do you mean it won't detect USB?

my toshiba laptop model is a100-01w. i want to install linux using pen drive. i have also change the boot sequence to usb memory but it is not detecting

Sorry I don't 'hang' out here, I just check a couple times/day to see if there's anything I can hlep out with.If you have another USB stick, try that. If the PC can't read the stick right, it won't boot from it. Also reset your BIOS to defaults, try another USB port and use 'f12' to choose the bootable flash drive at post should work.
