[citation][nom]wild9[/nom]Erm, with respect isn't that based on the notion it was people (or rather terrorists fighting for Islam), that were responsible? If so then where is the proof? Some people say that for certain voices within government, and in this economic state, 9/11 couldn't have come at a better time.[/citation]

Well statistically the majority of airline bombings are attempted and carried out by Middle Eastern Muslim men. I don't know enough about this case, but in terms of screenings for airport security it makes to sense to "racially profile" and primarily pull aside Middle Eastern men. Honestly, I may not be Middle Eastern but I look like I am (olive complexion, facial hair) so I get "randomly searched" frequently. I don't mind, because I never have anything on me warranting arrest and it's never been a major inconvenience. Now of course if they started saying I couldn't board my flight then I'd be pissed...but it makes logistical sense to pull aside Middle Eastern men since you can't search everyone. So long as racial profiling isn't getting in the way of standard investigative procedure and law enforcement officers are following actual leads and not chasing stereotypes, I don't have an issue with it. Note, I don't mean to push anyones buttons or even argue, just expressing my opinion.

it is unfortunate that his young man was harassed in this way if he has no real ties to terrorists. That being said, his family history does give the feds some intelligent reasons to suspect him as a potential threat. I hope he is not and hope he stays positive in the knowledge that he is not guilty of anything. but if he is.... well you know the rest. 🙁

I'd like to refer to the case of Finders V. Keepers which sets the precedent for who now owns this super spy transmitter.

See this is why you need a garage attached to your house, so when they break in your garage you can blow them away, Well that would only work if your in Texas, I don't think this would work in a liberal state like Illinois where guns are outlawed!

But then again if I lived anywhere else in the states they would have to get past my two German Shepherds to get to my car.

If I knew about it, I would have drove around to "questionable locations", like the local gun shops, schools, government buildings, power stations just to f' with them. I would have definitely stuck it on someone else's vehicle, a politician's would have been perfect.

When ignorant people write comments on a subject they know nothing about can be a scary thing. There is much more to this story then the article writer chose to include by choice or not. Do you actually think the US Gov puts a tracking device on every car driven by a Muslim? The black suits obviously had a reason and because of them and others like them we have avoided another 911. While you are worried about a tracking device there are radical Muslims plotting to kill you and your family. The only thing that stand between them and you is the hard work of the guys in the black suits and others like them. Don't act like you are intelligent enough to know what is best for us in the USA. Stand back and let the people that do know do their job and be grateful that they do it and are trying their best to keep us safe. While you complain about rights, there are those that would take away your basic right, the right to live.

[citation][nom]megamanx00[/nom]Spying Fail, a teenager found your clunky not so good at blending in and expensive tracking device. Yeah, I worry about our intelligence agencies[/citation]

What bothers me more, is wondering how many are NOT found?

[citation][nom]grillz9909[/nom]So because his dad was a religious leader, they need to keep track of where HE is? WTF. That definitely shouldn't be legal. I would have taken that thing and smashed it all to hell.[/citation]

Karmic Retribution? I would have smashed it too though.

Destruction of Government property. Thank you for flying GITMO airlines, Please check your orange face hood at the front gate, and be sure all manacles and restraints are in their proper upright and locked position.

No, would have been funnier if he instantly called the police and the press saying there was a bomb on his car. Let the FBI deal with the public fallout over this kind of surveillance.

This is the FBI up to its old tricks again. Remember, your rights aren't even an afterthought when any police force wants something badly enough.

You want to know what is even sadder? The supreme court ruling about car attached GPS tracking devices said only people who can afford to put up a fence around their property and where they store their car deserve any expectation of privacy. If you don't have a fence, police can do whatever.

[citation][nom]wawa sxm[/nom]meanning scammers are only african and not american? its like i saying if your from the south and white then you wouldnt know what 1+1 is...mostly true but you dont see me generalising it[/citation]

Really? If you can still read and comprehend this you may have brain damage. It may be best to get some help. Or just focus your time on bettering yourself instead of bitching about a fictional scammer post meant to point out gullibility.

Squeaky wheel gets the grease; go squeak somewhere else!

THat's obviously gov stuff, I wouldn't have posted it on the internet, I would just drive around town in circles for a couple of months to see if they realize I know they're tracking me, or better yet, drive around to form the words "dUck you". 1 Km ahead, turn right drive 500 meters, make a u turn, turn back left drive 300 meters turn left drive 300m make u turn. :) it's like making crop circles.

seriously, aside from its racist nature, is this the best FBI can do with all its sophistication? a bulky sex toy like transmitter that supposedly is "expensive" and meant to be hidden?

gosh i can make something far smaller than that for 50 bux in Vancouver

Wow, OFF topic since page 2.

I think the device is interesting and I applaud the kid for posting pics online. I always wanted to know what one of these would look like. Good design, the battery pack looks as if it can run for months (curious on actual operating time).
Price wise, from the internet, it's a $5,355 device, plus maybe an extra $300 for the battery pack. I definitely put this on Ebay for some guru tech junkies are willing to pay Big bucks for such technology.

I'm quite amused by how many people here have fallen for all of the fearmongering generated by the government since 9/11. It was allowed to happen for a reason, and I hope you're all happy that your idiotic brains have accepted the Patriot Act without question. Sheeple.

[citation][nom]grillz9909[/nom]So because his dad was a religious leader, they need to keep track of where HE is? WTF. That definitely shouldn't be legal. I would have taken that thing and smashed it all to hell.[/citation]

It's actually NOT legal...it's considered profiling and is banned nationally by the federal government. If he files a complaint with the justice department, the involved agents won't bother anyone again.
