I want to buy a new laptop while staying within a budget ($300-$400), but I want something that will play some newer games..

Is there a site that I can use that will let me know if a particular device will run the game or not? I'm aware of systemrequirementslab.com for testing, but that is only helpful if you own the device so that it can detect your hardware. It gives no option to select device hardware/model/etc.

I need a site that will let me check before I buy..

I've found a good deal on a Notebook w/ AMD A-Series A6-3420M (Integrated Radeon HD 6520G)
Just afraid to buy it, and it not play games well. I'm not looking for it to run any Ultra Intense games, just some good FPS.

Thanks for any feedback/help!

Welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums,
Two site I have found useful for Laptop info are
Laptop Magazine
http://www.laptopmag.com/
and
NotebookCheck (linked to a review of the A6-3420 APU)
http://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-A-Series-A6-3420M-Notebook-Processor.61302.0.html
I'm pretty sure the A6 isn't much of a "gamer" in it's own right - should be paired with a dedicated graphics card for any kind of performance

Hey
+1 to Frideman, just wanted to add the website you requested :-
CanYouRunIt, or CYRI.
www.systemrequirementslab.com
Thats the link.

Edit: I didn't see that you had heard of CYRI, maybe try Anandtech.com for some basic benchmarks?
Tom's itself has some reviews of the A6 platform, try checking those out.

I suggest the K55N with quad A8-4500M and integrated 7640G gpu for 400$. Faster than the 6520G. Quite a deal:

Thanks for all the replies..
I went ahead and got the laptop I mentioned in my original post. I couldn't pass up on the price ($320 for a 17.3" QuadCore w/ HD) and it seems to run games well, at least enough games to help kill time when I need too.

Again, thanks for all of your help.
