Solved! Find My iPhone refreshing slowly

Hi all,

I have noticed "Find My iPhone" is now only allowing me to refresh approx every 10 minutes. On earlier releases of IOS I was able to press "refresh" approx every 30 sec, allowing my to pinpoint my wife in the mall.

I have not been able to find any description/mentioning of why and when this change happened, and hoping anyone knows a workaround (the "Find my friends app" is equally slow at refreshing).

Anyone know a workaround or knows why this change was made?

Wildest guess:

Apple might have thought that people are using it more for fun than actual use case which may be draining the battery. So they extended the refresh cycle.
