Solved! fire stick not works with projection tv

Hello,

I brought Amazon fire stick yesterday and connected to Sony projection TV[HMDI port]. Initial amazon screen is coming up but after that nothing is getting displayed on TV like fire stick, setup details. Kindly suggest whether it works with projection TV or how to fix it.

That TV looks like it only supports 1080i not p, that may be an issue. See if you can use a full 1080p set, and check in options of the device to change it to 720p.

It should work regardless of the type of TV. I would suggest connecting it to another TV and change the video settings to match the Sony TV.

I do not have remote for Sony projection TV. How to manually check what default video setting are and how to change it.

It could be that main UI of the 'Stick is 1080i/p, and your TV supports 720i/p only.

My projection TV is Sony model# KP51WS520 and I think it has default picture resolution of 1080/60. So do I need to change the fire stick picture resolution to same?

I have changed the fire stick setting to 720P. But still it does not work with my projection TV...its popups initial Amazon view and after that it grey out and unable to display other screen[fire stick & etc.]. Kindly advice.
