Solved! fix graphics card

My screen stays black when I turn on my hp- hq-tre 71004 and I plugged up the hdmi cord to a monitor and I got no picture. What should I do please help

Well, if it works on external monitor then it isn't the graphics card/GPU. You would have to check the attached display or the cable to connects it to the motherboard to see if that is the problem.

If the device is under warranty, contact the manufacture. If it isn't, then you can try doing the work yourself, or take it to a local tech.
