Internet explorer is still one of the most in demand browsers in the world. When watching Netflix, users might encounter an unexpected error. This is a similar problem that has affected other browsers, but there exists an easy fix. This guide will cover the three most common ways to resolve the issue fully.
Refresh The Browser
A simple refresh will get rid of any lingering bugs in the browser engine. Using the F5 key is still the quickest way to accomplish this with any browser.
1. Locate the “F5” key on your keyboard.
2. Press it once and give the page time to reload.
3. Test out the Netflix website again and the videos should load.
Restart Windows
Memory leaks and other miscellaneous bugs sometimes won’t sort out until a computer restart. This is a quick and efficient way to get rid of multiple problems at once.
1. Click on the windows icon in the lower left hand corner of your screen.
2. After you click on the windows icon, a new menu will pop up with shutdown options.
3. Select restart, and once the computer boots back up Netflix should operate normally.
Clear Browsing Data
Clearing the browsing data from Internet Explorer is a last resort, but necessary if none of the other methods work. Be aware that this will clear all saved login data for the websites stored in Internet Explorer.
1. Select the gear icon in the upper right hand corner of the browser.
2. In the drop down menu select “Safety”.
3. From there go to “Delete Browsing History”.
4. You’ll have several boxes to check, but the main three you want checked are “Temporary Internet Files” and “Cookies”.
5. Make sure to uncheck “Preserve Favorites website data”.
6. From there click “Delete” and wait for the process to finish.
7. Try Netflix again and the issue should be resolved.
