Your likely issue is with the backlighting since you can see a picture with the flashlight. IF you are lucky, it could be the inverter board / power board which can be readily replaced / fixed. IF you are unlucky, it may be the backlight itself. Since you have provided NO information about the set, it is probably a LED based back light. It is very time consuming to fix / replace LED backlights. It can be done but most repair centers won't do it because of the cost to the customer. DIY capable people can be successful at it. That's why you see / hear of a lot of people picking sets like this up to repair in their "spare" time. If it is under warranty, get it to a repair center.
