Focusrite 2i4 and GTA V not compatable?

I have my 2i4 set at 2 channel, 16 bit, 44.1khz running to my studio monitors. They work perfectly when listening to itunes or watching youtube videos, but when I open up GTA V the sound gets really messed up on the monitors and on my headphones.
I have not tried it with other games yet.
Please help me this is really weird

i'm using a 2i2. no issues with gta5. i'd say first step, uninstall and reinstall drivers.

i just downloaded them on sunday but ill do it again just in case.

I reinstalled the drivers, version 2.5.1. still having audio issues. could it be from modding?

sounds very possible. best way to test is clean install. if its steam, your game saves should be backed up.

ill try that now. will update when I've finished downloading
update: ive just reinstalled gta v. still having audio issues (audio is slowing down a lot)
(also the audio is fine when using onboard)

I changed the buffer length to 3 ms in the focusrite software and I think that fixed it. thanks for the help though
