Force installing display drivers on a laptop.

Hello,
I'm having an issue installing the latest nvidia drivers on a friends Acer Aspire 5935G.

Like most laptops the computer turned up with some locked down full of crap copy of Vista so I formatted and installed my own clean bog standard copy of Win7 Ultimate.

However theres an issue installing the latest nvidia drivers for the 130m inside, whenever I attempt to install them the installation is canceled telling me that its locked to my vendor's drivers problem being the acer's drivers are over 7 months old 187.45 I believe which are in the stone age.

Is there any way of tricking/forcing the laptop to install the latest drivers?
Cheers

THANK YOU!! This is awesome, and just goes to show how annoying Nvidia is. The only reason The drivers don't work on Aspire 5935G is because Nvidia don't want to add the ID to these cards.. Just follow option 3 in this solution manual, and everything will be all right! :)

Once again, thank you.
