Formatting new SDcard

Hello,I have a C530 camera and am trying to use a new SDHC (4GB) card. When I get to the formatting, the camera shows 'formatting' then it says "filesys error e00100". What does that mean and what do I do to complete the formatting?

Try using a card reader to format the card. If you still have problems, the card may be a bad card.

Try this to format your card. If it still cannot be formatted, you card is physically damaged.
