as far as I know there is no way to get a deleted text message

If you REALLY need to get the text back, you could call up/email Virgin and ask for a copy, they will have a copy of messages and phone calls (not recorded). Although, they can't magically restore it to your phone so you may well receive it as a hard copy or in an email. I'm not sure how you will get it but I know that it can be done!
