Are you actually naive enough to believe that those signals
are intended for people with dishes in their yards? The only
signals that are uplinked for home consumers are the small
channels. The others are for commercial end users such as
cable companies and the networks. The small dish companies
also grab these and rebroadcast them.
If all of the consumer big dishes were to fall off the face of
the earth tonight there would be no significant change in
what is being sent to those satellites. Even at its peak the
BUD was not the intended audience for the largest amount
of what is being uplinked. There were a few channels and
programs were intended for BUD owners, most of them selling
subscription programming or equipment to us. But we are
and always have been fleas riding on the back of a large dog.

| Huh? If it's for the uplinkers and not for us, then why are the units being
| sold to the general public?
|
| What I meant by service is repair.
