Galaxy a9 fingerprint not found

Last week i received galaxy a9 and i cant find fingerprint inside the settings i tried to download a fingerprint app lock and it says fingerprint hardware not found (my phone is Samsung galaxy a9 6.0) on thé box it says fingerprint but i cant find it on setting please help!!!

Have you tried looking under / going to ... "Settings" and then "Fingerprint Scanner"? That is where it should be.

If it isn't there, you may want to try and see if there are any updates for the OS of the phone. Not being fully updated can lead to missing options.

I have tried and is not there or under settings i cant fond inside settings there isnt even fingerprint scanner and it says OS 6.0

Well, it seems that it isn't a fingerprint scanner on that device. Further investigation says a "Fingerprint Sensor". So it isn't actually anything separate, or an app. It isn't placed in the middle of the screen.

So, unlike other devices, the 'sensor' is only something where the home button is/part of the home button. If you are wanting an actual 'Fingerprint Scanner' you will have to either look elsewhere or try one of the apps that uses them.
