Galaxy S5 factory reset

Had to factory reset the galaxy s5 due to screen constantly freezing every few seconds. Nothing else tried worked. I thought everything backed up to my Google account but can't find contacts and texts are also gone. I synced everything and all my apps came back but all contacts gone. Any suggestions?

login to google website to see if the contact is there. you might have have sync the contact
