Games lagging in good spec laptop

I have a dell Inspiron 15 7650 whose specs are:
CPU: Intel Core i7 7500U
RAM: 8GB
Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce 940MX

I know that the laptop doesn't have the best specs for gaming but it is not able to run any game properly. I play fortnite and at the start I get around 45 FPS but after a few minutes the FPS drops to 24-26 making the game unplayable. Can anyone help me with the issue?

Seems normal, you can try to update the graphics driver, eventually overclock the GPU and update the BIOS. But unfortenately won´t boost the performance much

Thank you but is the laptop not good enough to run Fortnite because I have updated the graphics driver and also updated the BIOS but very minor improvement and I don't think that I would be able to handle the overclock as the laptop already has heating issues. Also I get 24-25 FPS even if I play at high setting or low

Like said, it´s a hardware performance issue. Your laptop can´t produce more fps. If you want more, get a gaming laptop or a real gaming PC.
