Gaming desktop or laptop for someone who moves between 2 houses?

Alright so I am a college student and I currently have a gaming desktop. I pretty much switch off between staying at my house and my girlfriends house every two days, so I was thinking maybe I should switch to a gaming laptop since I need mobility. My girlfriend and I love to play video games together. We mainly play league with I know you can play on any laptop but I also like to play a few more demanding games. Also I don't have a laptop right now but if I get one I would have to sell my desktop

Well college student so I wanna assume you don't have a lot of money to spend. In which case the best bang for buck is easily a desktop. What is your budget? Consider doing a mini ITX with a handle on top?
