Gaming Laptop for under 1000

Hello guys,
I finally have the opportunity to buy my self a decent gaming laptop. I know that a desktop is highly what would need for gaming and for later on upgrades but i dont live at my own house so i cant have a laptop. Can you guys recomend me a laptop for gaming from this site http/netpc.com.uy/Notebooks.html and my budget is less than 1000 dollares, thank you all

The only gaming laptop worth the price under $1,000 is the Lenovo Y40 series:

And even then, it's only under $1,000 if you buy in the US. I'm sure with import and taxes it will be more in Uruguay.

Here in uruguay de y40 is 1600 dollares is way out of my budget.The Lenovo G400 or Lenovo G505s are any good?

The other Lenovos you mentioned aren't gaming laptops. In order to have a chance at gaming, you are going to need two things: a fast dual core or (ideally) quad core processor, like an i7. You are also going to need discrete graphics, meaning either an nVidia 700m/800m series chip or a Radeon 8000/R9 series chip.

Some of them, like the ASUS mentioned above, have a discrete graphics chip, but it is a low-powered 835m with DDR3 VRAM -- it would struggle to play everything except the most basic of games.

The y40 is low end for a gaming laptop, which are low end anyway when it comes to gaming performance. I would not spend money on anything less than that, however. I think you'll find it was a waste of money.

Ohh its hard adjusting to my budget and even harder to find something in my budget here in uruguay the economy is so bad.
An ASUS with these specs is considerd gamer?
