Hi all,

I have no knowledge in laptops, as all their parts are reduced power compared to a sweet gaming desktop rig.

Rec-emended requirements:

-Intel® Core™ i5-3330, AMD™ FX-6300, or better

-NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 750 Ti or AMD™ Radeon™ R7 260X or better

-4GB of ram

Minimum requirements graphics card wise:

-NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 440 or AMD™ Radeon™ HD 5670 or Intel® HD Graphics 5000

Some laptops I am currently considering:

Its so difficult finding best price for money, some offering a nice graphics card with a horrible processor... Just need someones experience to help!

The 860M is 2 generations old by now, it's probably about what the 950M can do. 950M will be OK for WOW Legion at medium, maybe a notch bellow.

You won't find something in your budget new with the speed of a 750 Ti.

The 960M is slower, and laptops with that chip start about $700 US for Acer stuff.

From that saveonlapotps site, this may be good, but it's still under the 750 Ti speed. http://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/GL552VW-DM201T-ASUS-GL552VW-DM201T_1829304.html

Just do a search by video card model, if you are looking at new stuff, this is $700 http://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/9S7-16J612-408-MSI-GL62-6QD-408UK_1955707.html

You won't be upgrading the laptops, you want the fastest one now, not one that barely meet the speed you need today. In 3-4 years it will be too slow. Like buying pants for a 10 yr old, you get the smallest they can fit into today, in a month they won't fit in them anymore.

For WOW with Legion, you'd want a 950M or a 960M for medium settings without lagging. A 940M may run it on lower settings, but as I said, that is about the lowest spec now. Spending another 200 more today will save you headaches in a year.

I did an overwatch test for someone else so I jumped into legion to see what kind of performance I can get on my laptop. It is a i7 4500u which while better single core performance, is pretty even with the i5 5200 on the asus above. My gpu is a 745 which in reality is only a few points behind the 950m. I managed legions out door zones between 30-60 (legion has a pretty wide delta, some areas are just way more complex than others) at 1080p by keeping most effects at low, bringing shadows up enough to get environment shadows. View distance and detail were at "normal", I pretty much targeted a normal wow experience without high quality shaders, shafts, HBAO.

Raids and 5 mans may drop this but you have PLENTY of room to bring down some more effects to gain more FPS. I also have found using blizzards internal render control, setting it to %75 gives you a large chunk of performance for a softer picture, something you won't miss too much on a 15 inch screen.
