So i am considering getting the Dell XPS 13 for college. I am deciding between the i3 4GB of RAM version and the i5 8GB of RAM version. I want it to be good for multiple chrome tabs, word processing, video streaming, and I would love it if I could play CS:GO and League of Legends at decent frame-rates. Does anyone here have first hand experience with the laptop, or know enough about hardware to tell me if I could get 45-ish FPS on CS:GO with the i3 4GB?

Solution
If you want lots of tabs open as well as other program then you should get it with 8GB of RAM. Also, since the Core i3 version does not have turbo boost which the Core i5 has, you are more likely to feel that the laptop is no longer fast enough for you soon rather than later. Which means you will likely want to buy a newer laptop sooner. The Core i5 and the 8GB of RAM will improve overall performance.

Solution
Here's a video that demonstrate LoL on the Dell XPS 13 with the QHD+ resolution screen, Core i5 and 8GB of RAM. The game is played at both 1080p and QHD+ resolutions.

Actual performance in both games should be a little higher than what you see because most people usually record gameplay with software rather than a video capture device which costs more money than software. However, when the switching over to QHD+ resolution he records gameplay with his camcorder which means you are seeing the actual performance.

Thank you for the helpful link, this makes me lean toward the i5 more. Thanks again!
