So umm.. Hi
Please help improvise this setup. Tell me where i could improve. And where to change the build for something better. I don't mind changing afew things for hopefully less than a $100. So this is my build.please tell me if the power supply is good too.i hope to be able to get the parts from newegg http/pcpartpicker.com/p/fpLjTW
I will be mostly using it for gaming and maybe some video watching

That build is very nice, I wouldn't change much at all. The only thing you need to change is your Power Supply:

I assume you are going to be overclocking as you have an unlocked CPU and a Z97 motherboard, as well as an aftermarket CPU cooler and an extra case fan. All this stuff adds up to mean "Lots of power needed".

Also, you have picked the R9 390 GPU, which is absolutely fine, (its a very good card) but that is also a consumer of a lot of power.

So, I recommend you get this power supply, instead of your previous one: https/pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-110b10750vr

Colour matched your ram (1600/1866 makes little difference to performance)

I heard ram speed doesn't matter that much unless it is an amd build. I might be wrong though..

No, you are correct. RAM speeds really don't make much of a difference. Search on YouTube for "RAM speed benchmarks" and watch the video by a YouTuber called LinusTechTips. He proves (and shows) the results from difference RAM speeds are not noticeable.

Seasonic 650g - plenty of spare power mate seriously.that supernova suggested isn't that great a model anyway - the b1's are mediocre at best, if buying a supernova then only look at the b2 or g series.
390 peaks at 280w or so (very unlikely you'll ever see that though)
100w CPU
60w mb,ram,drive overhead.
200w clear absolute minimum.

Ocing wise ,who knows - chip dependant.
The themis though is unmatched for a sub $30 cooler , board is good , 4.2/4.3 should be achievable fairly easily - its honestly not really needed though.
Kendomen case simply because its unmatched for the budget (forgot to knock that aftermarket fan off the build - not required as the kendomen has 5 preinstalled) & has a lot better CPU cooler height limit - the spec series of cases are not good value IMO at all & are generally too restrictive

Ram speed really makes no odds - the gskill is good quality, low latency & will look nice on that board IMO.

i would go with a 970 instead of 390 especially with the rest of the components beeing from intel, nvidia give more fps per $ and has also the nvidia special features like hairworks and pcss shadows or hbao+

Well, I tried running a benchmark called Hyper Pi, on our last generation 3570k i5 computer, and RAM speed did increase the performance. (because reducing the RAM speed in the BIOS made it complete the benchmark more slowly)
Admittedly the difference was only about 5-10%.
But the price difference to get 1866 Ram instead of 1600 is very small, and so IMHO it is worth it. Have a look at Crucial Ballistix....
