Gateway laptop beeping blk screen

My gateway laptop beeps when power on.2-3 times before i would take out the battery and wait a few minutes and put back batery and would start up.but now that doesnt work anymore .just beeps twice the three times then repeats .this is model ms2370.please help

Well, two beeps means there is a RAM issue, and three beeps means that there is a mobo issue. Try reseating the RAM in different configurations (and even one at a time) to test it out. Sometimes the RAM is bad and sometimes the slot is bad - that's why you want to try different configs.

Also try booting it without the battery in because sometimes a bad battery can cause the three beeps.
