Gateway P7807u Processor Upgrade

Hi,
I`m thinking to upgrade my laptops processor and I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade from Intel Core 2 P8600 to Intel Core Quad Q9100. I saw that they share the same socket, P socket, but I`m not sure if it works so maybe you can help me?

This is not going to work. There are no bios upgrades for these laptop motherboards, hence the faster processors will not be recognized. One of many reasons that when it comes to performance, a desktop is preferable as it is much easier to upgrade it.

do you have any idea where i can find what processor is compatible with my bios?

Need to get in touch with the manufacturer, but they do not generally share this info as they want to sell you a new laptop.
