Get my Samsung Galaxy Tab E to recharge

My Samsung Galaxy Tab E has stopped recharging. When I connect it to the charger, it shows that it's connected but the battery just gets lower. What do I do? I've tried rebooting manually, pressing the menu, power and volume buttons for seconds as well.

Sounds like it needs a new battery.
