Going to buy a new laptop, any suggestions?

Have been using a ASUS but am thinking about a Lenovo. Basic college type work. Some spreadsheets stuff like that. Any suggestions

Both Asus and Lenovo are good brands and whose reputations are growing each day... What is wrong with your current Asus Laptop though, because basic college type work can be done on almost any laptop.

I have had this laptop for almost 4 years, it is becoming very slow. I use AVG and the scans show there is no virus's but I do not know this for sure.

is there any difference in AMD and Intel that someone like me could tell?

AMD is so much cheaper but then I do not know really so.....

I had looked at the Flex 3 but was not sure. it seems like a good choice for me. Need something to get me through about another 3 years.
