Good gaming headset for under 200$

Some key things I need:
-Has a mic
-Good for hearing foot-steps in games like Battlefield
-200$ or under
-Durable
-Does not require a good sound card (I don't even know my sound card)
-It would be a nice bonus if I can also plug it into my iPod but if not then it's fine

definatly the LOGITECH G430 they awesome surround sound and amazing sound quality! got some the other day and am surprised how awesome they are for the price under $100. Youtube some reviews for em

the ATH-M50 is around $150 or so and shits on most 'gaming' varieties. definitely one of the best midrange models out there, if not the best.

trust me if you haven't tried a GOOD stereo pair of headphones in a gaming environment, you're missing out. many gamers think they need a surround-sound headset for positional audio, but never realize that a solid stereo pair will do as good a job - and often times better. no bull

its low impedance and can be driven w/o a soundcard / dac. and yes its ipod/iphone compatible. (no mic tho). opt for the straight cable version if u do, the coiled one is a bit too weighty
