I have a huge Divx collection that i have downloaded, but I have spent hours perfecting creating divx videos from dvd. What is the best program out there for making them. I have download some Divx movies that were made by production companies and they are outstanding quality. If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appriciated.
gordian knot is the best i think. i havent looked lately, but last time i used fair use it had audio sync problems with some dvds (simpsons) and it takes forever. and it was the old version 3 codec, wich sucks compared to the newer versions.

I've heard good things about G-knot as well but am too lazy to try it cause FU is working so good for me. I'm using FU 3.0 which has an audio ripper built in. I've had zero sync problems so long as I clip a little off both ends of the movie. this is what I normally would do anyway, who needs previews and credits? The thing I really like about FU is that it uses its own custom rip that extracts ALL the info from the DVD. Because of this FU has worked on sketchy DVD that don't rip right with any other program. The other things I really like are the auto crop, auto re-size, and auto FPS selection.
True it does take forever but anything that takes over an hour I'm not gonna sit around waiting for anyway. I just set FU up to run at night and when I wake up it is done! What is G-Knot like?
Give me fuel, give me fire, give me that which I desire.
