Good surrond sound software

I have 4 speakers that I want to make a surrond sound system. The realtek audioo manager it comes with does not do what I want it to does anyone know of free software that deals with audio?

The hardware you have needs to be able to send surround sound to the speakers otherwise you are just duplicating left/right info on the back speakers.

Any recent sound card should have at least 5.1 capability, and you would be able to set it to 4 speakers. If for some reason yours does not, which it should, any sound card with 5.1 surround will do.

I dont want to buy a sound card just software

Software won't do you any good without a way to output it, but any sound card made in the last 10 years should have surround sound capability. If you are using the computer in your sig, it will be able to use tons of speaker options, have you look at the help file for the sound card?

I have the speakers in my computer and a way to put the sound out just not a way to choose which speakers do what the realtek thinks the speaker on my right is on my left and visa versa

You can reverse the channels easily, I've seen that option in many places. Check the help file for the driver version you have.

I use mainly spotify and I want to have it for gaming.
