Good Thin Laptop

So im starting an IT 2 year pre-college program a long with Online school. The laptops they give out are terrible and cannot be used in my IT class. So im looking for a decently thin laptop with good battery life as well as being able to handle Garrys mod, Maybe bioshock low settings and portal. Any recommendations would be great, but there is a budget of $500, so yeah. Thanks in advance. If I had no budget I would go straight for a razer blade <3

But those intel graphics are not as good as the AMD graphics inside the laptop I picked.
