Google chrome defaults to yahoo

when i search in the top omnibox of Google chrome it searches via yahoo, not Google (i have went into setting and changed the default to Google many times)

any ideas how to fix this?

There's a chance your ISP is providing "automatic search facility", and it defaults to Yahoo/AT&T.
Another option could be that your router has similar functionality (e.g. dLink are using "dlinksearch.com")

this just started happening last week and i made no changes to my isp or my router so i don't think that's it
