Google chrome extensions question

Is there a way to lock the extension icons on google chrome? I am playing around with an extension I'm building and every time I refresh it, the icons get merged into the side with an arrow I have to click to show them, kinda like the bookmarks toolbar when your toolbar is full.

I'd like to show the extension icons permanently always, instead of them continuously being hidden and having to click the arrow to show them each time I reload it. Thanks.

you might need to remove some extensions from being shown for it to work

That's a bummer. There should be a way to resize the bar and lock it (like the bottom taskbar where you can do that).
