google photos stole my photos

I am a south african with a 4 year old lenovo tablet - my photos were stored on google photos+
trying to see them I am told that I must change to another app: google
I tried only to be told that my tablet does not have the capacity (unless i wipe other stuff off, which i can't)
how do i retrive my pics?

If your tablet has an external SD Card, take it out and buy another with a higher capacity. I believe 64GB micro SD Cards are available but as soon as you more the photos, make sure you back them up to a another device.
