I am at home, ISP does not block content, I am 52 (verified by google).
Been looking for pictures of violence, for a study I am doing (Criminology).
No matter what I give in, results are filtered out, or even no results given.
Search Protection is off, I had results few days ago (3 days), but since then, nada.
Tried several steps, no use.

I understand, they want to protect people, but if they begin to hinder my studies, I cannot appreciate that.

How can I overcome this issue, please?

Have you tried making a new account? By default, Safe Search is Off, even in Incognito. I can find lots of Not Safe For Work dirty images even when not signed in, google even warns me "Some Results May Be Explicit".

Try signing out of your google account and clearing cookies, and then signing back in.

Have you tried alternate browsers and search engines? If so, do you get the same results?
No sir, I only use Firefox, I changed nothing, it just ... happened ... . :(
Always used google, being Autistic, never tried anything else: I abhor change.
Since stuck, can you give me a good one for pictures?

Tried to sign out/in, no use.
Also, a new account, issue is, I need to be on mine. :S :(
I receive and make many posts/mails.

There should be a file, that can be altered, no?
This data should be stored somewhere. locally, right?
Would be logical.

At least with Google Chrome, you can have multiple accounts logged in and active at once. I have three, my main account, one for spam, like if I want to sign up for a free trial or whatever, and my business account. All signed in at once in Google Chrome and easily switchable.

Chrome is a virus, filled with ad- and bloatware.
Well, used to be at least.

Also, my Asperger's does not allow, I fear, another browser ... .
:(

I have Asperger's too, try having a drink or two then trying another browser. One reason I drink so much is that alcohol helps reduce some of the negative symptoms of high functioning autism.

I've been using chrome for 10 years, and you can download AdBlock Plus which blocks literally all ads. uBlock Origin is also good. Chrome doesn't have bloatware unless YOU install it. PEBCAK.

Do you have Edge installed? Try using it.

Also, in FF have you tried accessing the content via a private window?
Yes, as soon as I saw the new account idea.
No use though.

Alcohol used to be my thing, but I am suffering from terminal heart failure, take a ton of meds, for one for my ADHD.
Not an ideal combination, I fear.

Off topic:
Also totally lonely in an immense ocean of people?
A completely incompatible one among humans?

My reply to this is in the Spoiler tag below.
Asperger's is different for everyone. I'm a pretty severe misanthrope, on top of a myriad of other issues like OCD, tactile sensory issues, and I'm an extremely picky eater, among other things.

I think feelings of loneliness are common for everyone, and for those on the spectrum those feelings could be quite amplified. Introversion, depression, habitual isolation, and other behaviors can cause feelings of loneliness as well. I typically isolate and am alone for most of my time when I'm not working, although I have a decent occupation with minimal interpersonal contact (I drive armored trucks for banks).

Your feelings are totally valid, they are your feelings. If you don't participate already, group therapy is an option, as are social skills groups, even if you already have developed social skills.

Alcohol greatly helps me with the misanthropy, as well as silencing my internal monologue (some people consciously 'speak' their thoughts in their mind, some people don't. People who do this have an 'internal monologue'). It also tends to help reduce my black and white polarized thinking and self-ultimation, and in the end, is cheaper than prescription medication that does the same thing.

I'm sorry that you have such issues with your heart, it makes me sad to hear this.

If you want to talk more about this feel free to PM me. For the time being, let's keep the thread on-topic.
Yes, as soon as I saw the new account idea.
No use though.

Try going into an incognito tab in FireFox or Chrome and doing your searches there. Another guess is that Google may know exactly what you're doing and be actively filtering the results.

Again, creating a new account just to test might work, you haven't mentioned that you've tried it.

Incog:
Tried as soon as i saw the Log Out/New Account idea.
No use.

Active Filtering by Google:
Hmmm, odd ... I mean, pictures of (granted, extreme) violence is not like illegal sexual content, or some espionage stuff, I would imagine.
If that is blocked, fair enough, can't care either way, I am no spy, and porn etc does not interest me.
If it was to protect children, OK, however, I am 52, and Google is aware.

I believe, there's an error in the settings file, as Google keeps yapping about Safe Search.
It probably somehow activated, then deactivated, but the deactivation is not written in the file.
Just need to figure out WHERE, or better, which file ... . :(
Most likely some file in my Profile?

Asperger's:
will get to that, my boss is looking dirty to me, as if I am doing stuff that ain't work.
Gonna give him a look, as if I AM working.
Hopefully ...

Now that I think of it, I had the issue a looooooong time ago, maybe in 2015 or so, where SafeSearch wouldn't turn off, I think the problem was my IP address. Businesses and ISPs can force Google to enable safesearch, my college did this and some of my old jobs do this.

Why would my ISP be blocked, if they know my age?
I am 52, June 12.
I mean, that makes no sense, does it?

Also, imagine they actually did that.
Can you imagine what a database that would be?
Seems unlikely, they would do this.
Unlikely, not impossible, mind.

This is very likely NOT something your ISP is causing.

From earlier...Are you at work or home while trying to access the info?

Precisely, my idea too.

Apologies, I missed this question, I am at home, good sir.
Home PC.
Just making sure as you mentioned your "boss" earlier.

Without trying alternate browsers, I am not sure what else to try.

This seems like an extension issue that is preventing some content. Using a different browser, especially one with no add-ons/extensions would be an interesting experiment here. As would using a VPN to appear to be elsewhere in the Interwebs.

You could try booting your system with a Live Linux distro (and use FF there) to see if the behavior changes.

Boss:
Yes, that reply I wrote at work. XD

Other browser:
I'll try a different one, got any suggestion?
Meanwhile I'll try Edge.
EEEEEK.

Linux:
I once was known with Unix/Novell Netware, as supervisor, understanding it's CLI, but that was in a different life time in which there was "the dance of diskettes", where Unix came as a 60 diskette (1.44MB Format).
Each damn file, a different diskette was required, goodness.
But as this was in an era long gone, I am no longer familiar with Unix (or it's offspring Linux), I know that to run something on Linux, additional files are required, as that is not put in to the base install system, but goodness, that's a mess I like to stay far away from.
At least, while back, Red Hat or something similar, I think it was?
Dunno the current days, AKA newer versions.

Edge, similar thing.
Made a different account: same thing.
Logged out, same thing.

Hmmm, what search engine is good for pictures aside of google?
Someone suggested a different one, but did not give a name of a good picture search engine ... .
