[citation][nom]ericburnby[/nom]Oh how quickly people forget. I guess nobody actually read the article and simply commented after reading the first paragraph of the article.First off, this has nothing to do with Microsoft. MS didn't file a claim or do anything to start an investigation, so why are idiots bringing up Bing and Yahoo? The only reason MS is being mentioned is because they have had their run-ins with the FTC in the past, so they are being compared to Google in that regard.Google has "settled" previous complaints with the FTC in the past, and has even backed off plans to conduct certain business plans because of warnings from the FTC. Clearly, this isn't the first time they've run afoul of the FTC.Oh, and many years ago when Google was young they often complained to the FTC about MS and their unfair business practices.Oh, and how many programs have you ever installed that also wanted to install the Google toolbar? I always found that funny as it seems almost every single program/utility I've ever downloaded/used asked me to install Google. Is it because the developers of the program actually like Google? Is it because Google is giving them hosting for their downloads? Or maybe Google is paying them to (like Intel was doing to "convince" companies to use their products instead of AMD)?[/citation]
Well, after you called those people out for not reading... maybe you should take your own advise. http://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/google-may-be-targeted-by-ftc-antitrust-investigation/ This, and many other sites have reported the news properly (unlike the missing details in this report that conveinently left out the part that microsoft filed it). Anyways, this pretty much puts your entire statement NULL AND VOID, so i'm not even going to entertain you with a response to the rest of the non-sense.
