[citation][nom]phamhlam[/nom]For everyone here who wants to join this program, you are better off with Microsoft Bing Reward program which gives you more money in the long run than than Google. It is also doesn't stalk your every move but looks at the links you click on in Bing.[/citation]

But then people have to use Bing...

You only have to use it for a bit. You can use it to search for like 10 minutes to rack up the max points and then you can go on Google.

Either way, Bing is still a good search engine. It may not be the giant google.

Man people are just exploiting this. When I was reading through it, I was thinking of setting up my old computer just to put it on and do nothing with it.

Hey I don't mind being spied on, I am already monitored from every site and at any location, getting paid for it would be extra, don't imagine this will be available outside US.

Maybe it really is time for the EU and FTC to intervene and break Google up. This is turning into a big, scary nightmare, one that I'm sure innovators of the web like Berners-Lee would never have thought of.

What's even more alarming though, is that people are seeing this in a positive light, merely because Google has managed to brainwash users into thinking they are benign and are up to "no evil". That, is really alarming.

Wow, now this is really reaching the top of the shit hill in making your world their world.
And if you think they are doing this to be "nice" forget it. I imagine any slip or download that doesn't meet with the big wigs at the recording industry will have them knocking on your door right away.
They only spend this so called money which isn't money but coupons so your very limited on what you can do with iit, and all to MAKE money.
You never get something for nothing dealing with these folks and I bet a lot of people will end up regretting it severely in the weeks or months to come because everyone slips up and will find they or their kids will do something your or they do not consider ileagle but someone does and then your going to face a huge loss of money. Count on it.
Your letting some not very nice people into your back door, this is just crazy but I've yet to see people not act stupid when a scam is put in front of them.
Just remember you still have a semblance of free access which is a illusion that will not be all that free when your leading the vultures to sites they don't like but you do and then find them get harder and harder to find as they make out their own road maps that benefit their finance agenda.
Because freedom is an illusion once you take a good look at it. It is on a cost/gain plan and getting worse as time goes on. The world wide web isn't a safe place. There is always a spider in the web. Now another one pops up called Google and it's one of the biggest bloodsuckers out there.

The real sad part is a year or two ago any mention of tracking or spying would put everyone up in arms, but once people get used to it it's funny how much their resistance melts away. Reminds me of how the Nazi's came to power. Or any real tragedy in our history time line. It's so easy because people are way to easy to manipulate.

What's to stop you from installing screenwise and then using firefox all the time? (I don't like Chrome all that much anyway). And as for the network thing, well, WHY do I need to install this on all my computers? What about setting up the data collector router as a secondary subnet with it's own IPs and such that plugs into the main router so that you can avoid putting your traffic through it while still profiting? Anyway, if cheating the system isn't an option, I'm not participating. This sounds a bit too freaky for me.
