GTA 5 shuttering and lagging

Hi. i bought asus r558uq recently
specs-
Core i5 7th Gen 2.5 Ghz 4 GB DDR4 RAM 2 GB Graphics nvdia 940mx win 10
i tried to play gta 5 it runs smoothly for some time say 10 min after that it starts to lag and shutter if any one can help? as i have seen youtube vedios and people running gta5 smoothly in this machine also i tried fry cry primal and got no sound after intro credits so is this fault in my laptop or something else.

This is a common issue on systems with only 4gb of ram. Upgrade to 8Gb and it should help(in gta v atleast). The 940mx is fairly weak so far cry primal is not going to run well no matter what you do.

so ram is the only reason? i tried lowering my setting and still same things after 10 min or so game strts to lag heavily is there anything i can do as i have seen my friend playing gta5 in med settings on 930M

Its the biggest reason I see. Runs smooth till the ram fills up then it will stutter. As I said its a common issue with GTA V, 4Gb is simple not enough for that game.

so i need to upgrade my ram to 8 gb? then it will work fine? but my friend has 4gb ram and gta still runs smootly on it with nvdia 930M thats why i am confused
