laptop runs minecraft on 30fps max, i have no idea why. first the game was running on the integrated graphics at 60fps max, i then switched it to my gtx 1050ti and was getting 30fps max.

my specs are
i7 7700
8gb ram
1tb hd + 128gb ssd
gtx 1050ti

any ideas why this is happening?? i have also tried to disable v sync in game and doesnt work.

found the solution, since im using a gaming laptop and i wasnt using the ac adapter, the fps was low. however when charging the fps raises to 300+

What? How did you manage to install a 1050ti in a laptop?

Your FPS being low when on battery on a laptop is indicative of "power management" settings. You probably have "low" or "balanced" when on battery and "high performance" when plugged in. You can change those settings in "power management".

Again though, a 1050ti in a laptop? Unless you've added an external GPU dock....

nope purchased the laptop from HP, considering I got £100 off I think its pretty well worth it. comes with a 1050ti.

Also I have tried but can't seem to find the option, I am running windows 10 after using a windows 7 desktop for a couple years so maybe I missed something, will have another look.

Turn down every single setting, Worked for me, Was stuck at 30 fps aswell, Did this, 600 fps with 1050ti C:

(if you do so you can turn on everything again but turn off the things that make you get 30 fps, I believe mipmap settings do this
